Whimp's Place in South Dakota

"I don't know if I mentioned how appreciated the updated bathrooms are. Much! The walleye is so good. My husband had the Battle burger and liked it. My friends had regular menu burgers too. Great cooks in the kitchen! Good, small town hole in the wall. Just what we like."

"The food is amazing, the booths I thought need a little attention as they aren't very comfortable. It is very loud as space is a factor...but have made improvements to a existing wall and woman's bathroom. But or waiter a young man really worked his butt off ..have specials and homemade pie..offer ice cream and Thursday all you can eat spaghetti which I love love love. This is a great place to eat. The prices in my opinion are steep but price of food is steep and they have to make a profit ....we enjoy there business and place we can visit. The menu is great..lots of options and serve breakfast lunch and dinner. And fresh hot bread...a true treat if you visit there. Yum!"

"Whimp's Place has some excellent food fare options, including some unexpected recipes or combos that are quite delicious. Their selection of drinks and alcohol are decent, and the generally atmosphere welcoming, though not particularly modern or fancy. It's relaxed, and the is certainly worth the wait - as there usually is a wait involved. The staff there are friendly, helpful, and generally observant. There is plenty of room for larger groups to dine there, and there's nothing bad that I can really say about the place. Worth your time, if you are looking for some great food. They accept cash or card."

"So, this is an actually very roomy restaurant in a little town in SD. Burbank, yep, Burbank, SD. Bikers love this place! That tells you something! Is there a kinder, sweeter, food-off-the-charts place in this Vermillion/Burbank area? NOPE!! Caleb the chef knows his menu, and he cooks me the same thing every time I go in because it's that good! Their BBQ ribs were probably made in Heaven and then God sent down the delivery. Fall off the bone tender! Owners and staff are friendly and become a buddy. Do yourself a favor: RIBS!!!! (Although I prefer the 10 oz. hamburger steak done to a perfect medium-rare: THANKS CALEB!!!"
